Responding to all guest and colleague maintenance issues in a timely fashion Assisting other Maintenance colleagues as needed Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications Your experience and skills include: A 4th Class Power Engineer Certification OR a Red Seal Trade Certification in one or more of the following trades: Appliance Service Technician; Carpenter; Electrician; Industrial Mechanic (Millwright); Instrumentation & Control Technician; Plumber; Refrigeration/HVAC Mechanic. A minimum of one-year plant experience (in the last five years) working with tools and/or mechanical equipment. Proven history of working well and problem solving with minimal supervision. High level of responsibility and commitment. Team player with proven success in relationship building. Commitment to provide excellent service and exceed guests' expectations. Completely fluent English language skills; both written and verbal. Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone manner. Excellent organizational skills impeccable grooming and presentation. Fluency in a second language would be considered an asset. Additional Information Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): The position of Building Maintenance Engineer is physically demanding and is a rotational shift position. The successful applicant must be willing to work a combination of days, nights, weekends and overtime as required. The successful applicant must be physically capable of standing/walking for 90% of shift, performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads. They must also be comfortable working outdoors in all elements. Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
