Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Emergency Department Primary Location: Leduc Community Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.70 Posting End Date: 21-SEP-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 01-OCT-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 42 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years Acute Care experience within the last two years required; however, equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Successful completion of CLPNA modules - Standards of Practice on Restricted Activities and Advanced Practice as well as certifications in required competencies. Direct IV Administration and PICC Certification. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include 2 years recent experience working in an Emergency Department. Experience with Connect Care is highly desirable. Certification in ACLS, PALS, CTAS, and/or Lead II/ECG interpretation will be considered an asset.

Exigences

Requires completion of an accredited practical nurse program and active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta. Minimum 2 years of acute care experience and certifications in IV administration and PICC are required.
