Your Opportunity: A candidate with strong interest, experience and ability to provide family-centered nursing care to newborn patients and families is required. A candidate with certification in a relevant specialty area and leadership training is preferred. Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: NICU Primary Location: Red Deer Regional Hospital Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.62 Posting End Date: 21-SEP-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 05-OCT-2026 Hours per Shift: 11.08 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 26 Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current BCLS-HCP required. Basic computer skills. Current NRP certification. Good communication skills and ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships. Competence in relevant technical nursing skills and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Demonstrated ongoing responsibility for maintaining own continuing competence through professional development activities. Ability to work shift work. Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Exigences

Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta with current BCLS-HCP and NRP certifications. Requires completion of an accredited practical nurse education program and the ability to work rotating shifts.
