Job Description We are hiring for full-time and part-time Sous Chef/Lead Cook positions for one of our retail locations on Queen's University Campus with Aramark Canada Ltd. As a Culinary Leader, you will directly contribute to the overall success of the dining experience on campus and its people. In this role, you will be responsible for leading, retaining, and developing a high-performing team, while driving their personal growth. You will efficiently deliver and execute quarterly strategic planning goals while upholding the highest standards in product, profit, environment, and experience. #ACAN200 Job Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the work of others, without direct performance management responsibilities Assist with day to day administrative duties as required to maintain a location, and staffing requirements Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff Supervise activities of cooks and other kitchen workers Create new recipes in collaboration with campus Executive Chef Instruct team members in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food Leading/instructing individuals Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation Ensures security of company assets Produces and maintains work schedules and may prepare production records. Qualifications 2+ years culinary experience regardless of industry Experience in leadership role, either individual contributor or people manager Valid Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene Skilled in task prioritization and time management Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Exigences

Requires at least 2 years of culinary experience and previous leadership experience. A valid Food Safe certification is required, and First Aid certification is considered an asset.
