We provide traffic control, on-street services and signage products and services across Canada, currently operating out of offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Langley, Kamloops, Brandon, Winnipeg and Mississauga. Flaggers are responsible for directing traffic and ensuring safety on the roads. They signal vehicles when to slow down, stop, and when it's safe to proceed. ATS Traffic provides all required training and certificates to get you started! You must be at least 18 years old. Please note that this is a safety sensitive position with a zero tolerance policy for use of marijuana, medical and recreational. ATS offers hands-on training and competitive wages. RESPONSIBILITIES * Direct traffic through construction zones using a Stop/Slow paddle, hand signals and a two-way radio * Ensure the safety of drivers, pedestrians, and workers on the site * Communicate with construction crews and the public to provide traffic control updates * Follow all safety procedures and guidelines established by the company and regulatory authorities QUALIFICATIONS * Your own reliable means of transportation to get to and from the office each day for your shifts * As this is a safety-sensitive role, all candidates must undergo and pass a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Test. Note: All safety-sensitive positions have a zero tolerance policy marijuana, medical or recreational. * Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 50 and 75 pounds. * Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions * Ability to stand for extended periods of time * Good verbal communication for radio use on sites, and interpersonal skills (preferred) * Aware of surroundings and ability to follow instructions * A Valid Class 5F Driver's License and a clean 3 year driver's abstract is preferred. * Ability to travel for work out of town, overnight hotel stays required. * A valid Flag Person certificate is an asset, however ATS covers the cost and provides ALL training and certificates to get you started! * Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): All you need to bring is a pair of CSA Approved Safety Boots on your first day - we will provide the rest.
