Position: Registered Nurse Competition: 2025-203 (current opportunity) Status: Part-Time Department: Rehabilitation/Integrated Stroke/Palliative & Complex Care Union Association: ONA Rate of Pay: $41.15 to $58.98 Position Summary Under the supervision of the Unit Manager, and working as a member of the Unit team, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of quality nursing care to a patient or group of patients. The provision of such nursing care is expected to be within the Standards of Nursing Practice (CNO) and the standards of the particular nursing unit. The Registered Nurse is expected to maintain competence and skills through on-going participation in continuing education and will be able to demonstrate proof of such participation. The Registered Nurse actively participates in CNO Quality Assurance Program. Participates in service and hospital-wide activities and programs that model and promote a safe and healthy patient-centered environment and that contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives. Requirements Education and Experience: Registered Nurse (BScN) and current member in good standing of the Ontario College of Nurses of Ontario Current BCLS, First Aid and I.V. Certification and maintained throughout employment Current membership in the RNAO preferred Previous experience working with stroke patients in an inpatient acute or rehabilitation setting Previous experience working within a palliative care setting Preference given to those with PIECES, CAPCE training Palliative Care Level 1 & 2 (Fundamentals and Enhanced) preferred Telemetry training, cardiac concepts certificate or equivalent Experience with National Rehabilitation System (NRS) would be an asset Computer literacy and teaching experience required Skills And Abilities Demonstrated excellent assessment skills and strong organizational and leadership skills are essential Ability to assume shift charge nurse responsibilities Ability to provide professional nursing care to patients that is consistent with their treatment and rehabilitation needs Provide leadership and guidance to Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of an inter professional team Demonstrated ability to relate in a tactful and sensitive manner to patients, colleagues, hospital affiliates and the public Good attendance and availability required

Exigences
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with a BScN and a current member in good standing of the Ontario College of Nurses. Previous experience in stroke and palliative care settings is preferred, along with relevant certifications.
