As a DSW with Carecor, you will provide person-directed support, assist with daily living activities, promote community participation, and help individuals develop skills that enhance independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Candidates must have experience providing direct support services, including but not limited to: Provide person-centered care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, dressing, grooming, feeding, nutrition, and mobility. Promote independence, safety, dignity, and overall well-being in home and community-based settings. Implement individualized support plans and assist with daily routines. Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of client information. Follow organizational policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements. Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and other duties as assigned. Developmental Services Worker (DSW) diploma preferred; related education in Human Services, Social Services, Child and Youth Care, or a similar field will be considered. Experience supporting children, youth, or adults with developmental disabilities, autism, dual diagnoses, or complex needs in residential, community, or supported living settings. Experience assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, mobility, nutrition, and community participation. Ability to implement behaviour support plans and assist with medication support and health-related routines. Current First Aid/CPR certification; CPI/Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) training required or considered an asset. Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Willingness to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment. Demonstrated commitment to person-centered care, professionalism, confidentiality, and safety. Please note that based on current government mandates and directives, healthcare workers may be required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Successful candidates may be required to provide proof of vaccination prior to their start date. Exigences
