The Opportunity: * Responsible for the supervision, safety and wellbeing of the children * Shares in the responsibility for planning, preparing and implementing stimulating, age appropriate activities that encourage children’s creativity and learning and promote each child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development * Ensure the program operates at all times in compliance with all child care licensing standards * Partner with Elders and other community resources to organize and deliver cultural education for children and families * Engages in positive collaboration with other programs and early childhood educators of the centre in coordinating the effective use of equipment, facilities and personnel. Wage Range: The target hiring range for this position is $28.4238 to $36.8096 per hour. Candidates will typically be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the wage range. Placement within the wage range is dependent on the applicants’ role specific knowledge, skills, abilities, related experience and in consideration of factors such as market conditions and internal equity.
