QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Grade 12 minimum· Recent Safe Food Handlers certificate issued by Public Health Background: Minimum of three years’ experience preferred Personal Requirements: Work as part of a team Capable of adapting to different situations and change· Keen interest in working with seniors FUNCTIONS: Helps cook and servers collect and strip trays and tables for washing, clean and reset tables for next sitting; Loads, operates and empties dishwasher. Puts dishes away; Damp mops floors; Cleans other kitchen equipment such as blenders, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.; Maintains general cleanliness of the dry goods storage area, walk-in fridge and freezer, receiving area by correct sweeping and mopping of floors, washing of walls and racks; Performs all duties in a clean and sanitary manner; Ensures that adequate standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained in food storage, and food service; Ensures availability and maintenance of dietary supplies and equipment and submits requisitions as necessary. Responsible for loading and operating the dishwasher, cleaning kitchen equipment, and resetting tables. Maintains general cleanliness and sanitation standards in food storage and service areas.

Requires a minimum of Grade 12 education and a recent Safe Food Handlers certificate. A minimum of three years of experience is preferred.
