Administers first aid in accordance with established first aid methods and techniques. Gives instructions to beginners on the fundamentals of skating. Keeps records and prepares reports including reports on hazardous conditions and accidents. Qualifications Must be 17 years of age prior to appointment and demonstrate ability in skating. Considerable knowledge of the fundamentals of ice skating. Considerable knowledge of first aid techniques. Knowledge of hockey a plus. Ability to establish and maintain the orderly participation of patrons. Ability to react quickly in an emergency. Special Requirements Applicant must procure American Red Cross First Aid Certificate within thirty (30) days of start of employment. Patrol the ice rink to maintain order, observe unsafe conditions, and provide first aid. Instruct beginners on skating fundamentals and maintain records of accidents and hazardous conditions.
