Morning Steward

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Chef, the Steward’s primary responsibility is to operate the dishwashing machine. The Steward/dishwasher is responsible for cleaning duties as well as helping the cooks with the kitchen prep as directed. WHAT WE OFFER * Promotional rate to discover Germain Hôtels properties through Canada * Opportunities to develop your career within a growing company across Canada * Access to the hotel gym * Employee referral program * Employee Assistance Program for team member and their family YOUR ROLE * Basic prep of food items for service * Keep the dishwashing area organized, tidy and clean * Set up the dishwashing area and operate the dishwashing machine * Regularly clean the machines * Manual dishwashing * Receiving/putting away F&B inventory * Keep the outside area clean, free of litter and swept if necessary * Keep the garbage containers emptied and cleaned * Take garbage bags/receptacles to the garbage room * Assist were needed YOUR PROFILE * Able to work with a team and independently * Professional, enthusiastic, energetic * Attention to detail * Able to work and communicate well within the team * Able to work under pressure * Able to lift up to 50lb, reach, bend, push and stoop * Able to work in a standing position for up to 5 hours

The Steward is responsible for operating dishwashing machinery, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and assisting cooks with food preparation. They also manage F&B inventory and ensure the exterior premises remain tidy and free of litter.

Candidates must be able to work effectively in a team, communicate well, and perform under pressure. The role requires physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
