Our private orthodontic practice is looking for an experienced dental assistant (DA) to assist our orthodontist for patient care. This is a PART-TIME position. The ideal person for this role is someone who is respectful, warm and compassionate, organized and adaptable and an excellent problem solver. This vital role greets our patients, displays professionalism, and maintains confidentiality at all times. Responsibilities: * Provide patient-care services– Welcome and seat patients for orthodontic care. Set up and clean up dental chairs and perform proper infection control protocols during patient care and after. Take diagnostic radiography (PANO/Ceph or CBCT) and digital scanning. Sterilization of dental instruments. Stock each dental chairs with appropriate dental supplies. Organize and manage dental supply inventory. Perform laboratory duties as instructed by our orthodontist. * Perform supportive procedures – Assist our orthodontist for all dental procedures. * Other duties: – Answer phones, take messages and greet patients in the waiting room. Support front desk staff when help is needed. Educate patients on proper OHI and orthodontic care. Keep clinical area, staff room and other areas of the practice suite clean and organized during working hours. Participate in marketing events or activities as requested by practice owner. Requirements: * High school diploma and a graduate of accredited Dental Assistant program * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team in a fast-paced environment * Previous clinical experience in orthodontic practices is highly recommended. However, at least two years of working experience as a DA is a must. Exigences
