The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a Children Services Worker to support children and families in the Yorkton area. This opportunity involves delivering protective, preventative, and support services using the P.R.I.D.E. model and Family Centered Case Management Model. The ministry is looking for a compassionate, client-focused individual dedicated to improving the well-being of children and families while contributing to public service excellence. The ideal candidate is accountable, collaborative, inclusive, adaptable, and committed to helping others. They must be able to build strong relationships with clients, foster and biological families, community agencies, and Indigenous partners while supporting positive outcomes for children and families. Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, or a related Human Service degree with relevant experience. Relevant fields include Sociology, Psychology, Education, Human Justice, Indigenous Studies, Nursing, or Psychiatric Nursing. Knowledge of child and family services, risk assessment, case management, poverty, systemic barriers, multicultural perspectives, and First Nations and Mtis cultures is required. Strong communication, critical thinking, assessment, documentation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills are essential. The position requires travel, flexible hours, transporting children and families, a valid driver's licence, and the ability to lift up to 20 kg. Responsibilities include providing case management and interventions, conducting interviews, assessments and home visits, developing service and intervention plans, supporting long-term care planning, advocating for clients, coordinating referrals, maintaining client records, and delivering counseling and referral services.
