Tutor (Part Time)

The Granite Club is looking for a part time Tutor to provide personalized lesson plans to the members' children while assisting with growth. What’s in it For You? Primary Responsibilities Tutoring assigned students in academic subjects and study skills, either individually or in study groups. Creating, researching and obtaining curriculum and tutorial tools that suit the needs of the students Maintaining records on each student who is being tutored Writing and submitting evaluations and other reports as requested Helping students develop self-confidence in performing academic work Tutors will be able to tutor French & English, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, etc., as required. Provide excellent care of children, ensuring that a safe area is maintained. Set-up room with appropriate equipment for program. Attend monthly program meetings and give session feedback to Supervisor Ensure a clean, neat and sanitary environment. Complete attendance record and inform the Child Activities Supervisor of any non-registered participants that need to be registered. Handle general inquiries and program registration. Confirmation and reminder phone calls prior to start of each session. Provide daily updates to the Child Activities Supervisor Advertise/create excitement for Tutoring program and KidZone programs as this is a direct relationship to the success of the program Complete all marketing and build awareness for all Tutoring and KidZone programs Establish positive relationships with parents Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum grade 12 Ability to tutor up to at least grade 8 French. Further teachable subjects considered an asset. Experience working with children and youth essential. First Aid and C.P.R. certification required. Excellent verbal and written skills in English. Provide personalized academic tutoring in subjects like French, English, Math, and Science to members' children. Manage student records, create curriculum tools, and maintain a safe, sanitary environment for the KidZone programs.

Minimum grade 12 education with the ability to tutor French up to grade 8 and essential experience working with youth. Valid First Aid and C.P.R. certifications are required.
