Job Description The Georgetown Hospital Emergency Department serves the communities of Halton, Halton Hills, and the surrounding areas. Our ED is a 15-bed unit with a separate Rapid Assessment Fast Track (RAFT) zone. We serve patients of all ages and treat patients of every medical and mental health illness. Last year we served over 39,000 patient visits. Our 24-hour staff are comprised of nurses, physicians, physician assistants and many other team members of a robust multidisciplinary team. Our team includes a dedicated mental health and internal medicine resources to ensure comprehensive assessments of patients for timely referrals and/or admission. Qualifications Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire. Previous Emergency Department experience required Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities required ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing. Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages within a 15-bed unit and Rapid Assessment Fast Track zone. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to perform assessments, manage mental health and internal medicine cases, and facilitate timely referrals.

Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario with previous emergency department experience. Requires current BLS and ACLS certifications, as well as the ability to perform triage and in-charge duties.
