The shift is 9:30pm-8:00 am, 2 days per week and 1 bi-weekly weekend overnight shift (total = 5 shifts bi-weekly weekends). The RPN is expected to stay awake during the overnight to monitor seizure activity. We are looking for ongoing staff that can commit to regular shifts with this client and pick up additional shifts with other clients as needed. Job Benefits: Competitive pay at $35/hr Benefits Plan available after working 30+ hours per week* 4% Vacation Pay on every pay Flexible hours The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following: Conducting assessments and reassessments Developing, monitoring, and updating plans of care, as assigned Providing medication support and administration Responding to all emergency situations Completing reports and communicating with the family about any changes in care Meeting the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario at all times All other duties, as assigned Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to: Current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario Valid First Aid/CPR certificate Vulnerable sector screen and satisfactory professional references Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions G-tube experience, med resistive and reactive, comfortable with managing seizures Must have a valid license and reliable vehicle Willingness to adjust to a scent-free lifestyle due to scents triggering seizure activity Effective time management skills to work under specified time constraints and in accordance with job routines, while observing policies and procedures as well as applicable work standards and safety regulations Please submit the appropriate documents for review. The RPN is responsible for conducting patient assessments, developing care plans, and providing medication support. They must monitor seizure activity during overnight shifts and communicate care changes to the family.

Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and hold valid First Aid/CPR and Vulnerable Sector certifications. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and experience with G-tubes and seizure management are required.
