Job Purpose The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging examinations Qualifications Post-secondary training in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Registered with the New Brunswick Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists with certification in MRI. Ability to attend work on a regular basis. Ability to perform the duties of the position. Good work record. Key Responsibilities The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist is responsible for: Assessing and preparing patients for procedures Preparing and operating equipment Performing procedures in accordance with standards of practice Assessing images and responding appropriately Using clinical information systems to access and maintain clinical records and documentation Assisting with or performing quality assurance activities/initiatives Providing guidance and support to DI staff, students and other health care professionals.
