We are hiring for a permanent part-time 0.69fte Occupational Therapist at the Kelowna General Hospital. This role supports acute care with a strong emphasis on assessments and discharge planning as part of the multi-disciplinary allied health team. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapy programs to promote functional independence and optimal health outcomes. Provide consultation, education, and support to clients and their caregivers. Prescribe and recommend appropriate equipment to enhance daily living. Participate in program planning, quality assurance initiatives, research, and departmental meetings. Offer guidance and work direction to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function. The Occupational Therapist performs comprehensive assessments and develops individualized treatment plans to promote functional independence. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide therapy services across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

The candidate must be a qualified Occupational Therapist capable of working independently and as part of a rehabilitation team. Experience in acute care, assessments, and discharge planning is highly emphasized.
