About the role

OPDL Coaching Opportunities Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches (Female & Male Programs) Location: Cambridge, Ontario Start Date: Immediately or October 2026 Compensation: depending on the position, coaching certifications, and experience.

Cambridge United Soccer Club is seeking passionate and committed Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches to join our Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) Program. We are currently recruiting coaches for both our Female and Male Programs, with opportunities to start immediately or join our staff for the 2027 OPDL season beginning in October 2026.

Key Responsibilities  Lead and coach an assigned OPDL team.  Plan and deliver training sessions aligned with the Cambridge United Game Model and TrainingPhilosostrong>phy.  Coach league matches, exhibition games, showcases, and tournaments.  Support the technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial development of players.  Complete player evaluations, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and Ontario Soccer SSPassessme< /strong>nts.  Utilize Hudl and Veo for performance analysis.  Assist with player identification, recruitment, and OPDL tryouts.  Collaborate with the High Performance staff and participate in coach education initiatives.  Maintain positive communication with players, families, Team Managers, and Club staff.Minimum Q ualifications Head C s trong>oach  Canada Soccer C Licence (minimum)  Eligible to register for the Concacaf B Diploma Assistan t Coach  Canada Soccer Soccer for Life (minimum)  Eligible to register for the Canada Soccer C Diploma Applican t s should also demonstrate:  A strong understanding of player development.  Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.  The ability to work within a collaborative high-performance environment.  Legal authorization to work in Canada.
