Description :
The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of requires the services of a PART-TIME PROFESSOR FOR THE SUMMER 2026 semester to teach the course INTERNSHIP (410-INT-LA).
This practical work placement serves as the final course of the program, allowing students to apply all competencies acquired during the program. Through real-world experience, students will perform human resources support functions. The internship emphasizes employability strategies, self-assessment, effective task performance, and collaborative teamwork.
The Internship course is composed of 15 in-class hours (offered at a distance), as scheduled, to prepare the students for their fieldwork, as well as supervision and guidance responsibilities while the students complete their stage. Students will complete 24 days of Internship in a workplace setting (July 6 to August 6, 2026). The hired instructor will also be responsible for the following: the stage placement of 11 students in a fieldwork site that allows the students to meet the course objectives, the supervision of each student (meetings, calls, emails, etc.) during the internship, including 2 site visits. All students must be placed in their fieldwork setting by Friday, July 3. The hired instructor will set a time during the last week of internship so that the student can present their culminating internship project (in-person or by zoom). The hired instructor will be asked to provide a bi-weekly job activity log. Schedule subject to change.
Required Qualifications :
Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources or a related discipline and 2 years teaching experience. Must have HR experience. Teaching experience within a similar program (Human Resources) and pertinent fieldwork experience (supervision) in a relevant environment are required. This program is taught in English; The stage environment could be English or French; therefore, bilingualism is essential.
