has the following anticipated vacancies
for the Fall 2026 semester

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Part-time contract representing full and/or part-time workload.
N.B. This vacancy is to replace an instructor away on an authorized leave and will terminate, without prior notice, upon the return of the instructor.
AREA OF EXPERTISE: To teach a) Introduction to the Profession 165-101 (Lecture and Lab)
b) Introduction to Pharmacology 165-102 (Lecture and Lab)
c) Drug Packaging 165-504 (Lecture and Lab)

PHARMACY TECHNIQUES (165.AO)

  • Undergraduate or equivalent degree in Pharmacy
  • Undergraduate degree in Pharmacology or in a related field of Science may be considered
  • Graduate degree an asset

Preferred assets:

  • 3 years experience in a hospital/community pharmacy setting.

  • Current member in good standing of the Ordre des Pharmaciens du Québec or the equivalent pharmacy governing and licensing body from another province or country.

  • Familiarity with the tasks required of Pharmacy Technical Assistants and Technicians;

  • Knowledge of or experience in teaching or training an asset, including the ability to plan, deliver and assess learning in a course and supervise internships;

  • Openness to the use of innovative and active teaching and the application of new technologies in pedagogy and professional practice;

  • Skills: ability to take initiative while establishing positive interpersonal relationships,

  • Collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives,

  • Develop relations within the college, the profession and the community;

  • Excellent English communication skills;

  • Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.

The following courses must be taught by a pharmacist:

  • 165-201 Pharmacotherapy I

  • 165-301 Pharmacotherapy II

  • 165-501 Managing the Technical Staff of the Pharmacy (Pharmacy Practice I)

  • 165-602 Stage: Medication Circuit and Drug Therapy Management

  • 165-603 Technologies related to the Medication Circuit (Pharmacy Practice II);

  • Equivalent establishes a general comparison between two official education systems
