TYPE OF CONTRACT: Part-time contract representing full and/or part-time workload.
N.B. This vacancy is to replace an instructor away on an authorized leave and will terminate, without prior notice, upon the return of the instructor.
AREA OF EXPERTISE: To teach:
a) Introduction to the Profession 393-JAA-03
b) Introduction to Organizations & Records Management 393-JAD-AB
c) Information Sources & Services III 393-JEB-AB
INFORMATION & LIBRARY TECHNOLOGIES (393)

Master’s or equivalent* degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS)

Bachelor’s degree and a diploma in Library/Information Studies may be considered
-
Master’s degree in a related field may be considered
-
Minimum of 3 years appropriate/directly related experience in the field of information management
-
Several years related teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred.

Ability to collaborate within a departmental team to achieve common objectives
-
Excellent English communication skills essential

Bilingualism (English/French) and ability to teach in French are preferred, as in the context of Bill 96 and the changes to the Charte de la langue française, if there is a need, the candidate must be willing and able to teach in French.
