Overview Our client is seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Consultant to support several ongoing cloud infrastructure, security, and governance initiatives through the end of the year. The environment is highly cloud-focused with workloads already operating within Azure. The consultant will act as a senior technical resource, supporting a variety of project and operational initiatives including Azure governance, networking, security, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and a Microsoft CSP-to-MCA transition. This is a hands-on role for an experienced Azure professional who can work independently, provide technical guidance, and contribute across multiple concurrent initiatives. Scope of Work Key responsibilities may include: Support the organization's transition from a Microsoft CSP model to a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) Assist with Azure subscription governance and policy implementation Support Azure hub-and-spoke network architecture initiatives Configure and maintain Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code methodologies Review, enhance, and maintain Azure Bicep templates and deployment standards Develop, author, and maintain security and governance policies Support Azure networking, firewall, and cloud security initiatives Assist with SASE-related projects and ongoing cloud security improvements Support vulnerability remediation activities across the Azure environment Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for cloud infrastructure projects Help address existing project and operational backlog items Collaborate with internal infrastructure and security teams while working independently on assigned initiatives Current Environment Azure-centric infrastructure environment Approximately 4 Azure subscriptions Approximately 10 Azure virtual machines Azure-native cloud services Azure Policy Azure networking and security controls Infrastructure as Code (Azure Bicep) SASE initiatives underway Firewall and cloud security technologies Potential exposure to Palo Alto technologies Required Experience Strong Azure infrastructure and administration experience Experience with Azure networking and cloud architecture concepts Azure Policy and governance experience Infrastructure as Code experience (Bicep, ARM, Terraform, or similar) Experience supporting cloud security initiatives Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Experience Experience supporting CSP-to-MCA transitions Azure Firewall experience Palo Alto experience SASE or Zero Trust initiatives Cloud governance and subscription management experience Experience operating within enterprise Azure environments
