About the role: The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) provides a professional service in laboratory analyses and interpretation all areas of Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine/Immunology. The MLT contributes to the hospital’s goals by providing accurate and timely results in a manner consistent with professional standards. The MLT is a technical resource to staff, physicians, internal and external customers. What you’ll bring: Graduate from a recognized Medical Laboratory Technology program and CSMLS certification as a General MLT 30 hours of continuing education credits every year as per CMLTO Member in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal Demonstrated problem assessment skills Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork Demonstrated individual leadership skills Southlake Health is fully committed to a culture of belonging and an inclusive environment that encourages every team member to lead within their role, generate innovative ideas that reinforce our mission and goal to create a healthy workplace where our community can thrive.
