Part-Time Human Resources Assistant Location: Markham, Ontario Employment Type: Part-time Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week Pay: CAD 20/hr Department: Human Resources Position Summary We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Human Resources Assistant to support the Human Resources team with daily operations. This position will focus on HR data management, employee communication, recruitment coordination, recordkeeping, and general administrative support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in developing practical HR experience within a fast-paced technology environment. Key Responsibilities HR Data Management and Reporting Collect, organize, update, and maintain employee information, recruitment data, onboarding records, and training documentation. Assist with the preparation of HR reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and dashboards. Ensure HR records and databases are accurate, complete, and up to date. Support periodic audits, data verification, and record-management activities. Maintain confidential employee information in accordance with company policies and applicable privacy requirements. Employee Communication and Coordination Communicate with employees regarding HR processes, documentation, surveys, training sessions, and company initiatives. Schedule interviews, meetings, training sessions, and HR-related events. Follow up with employees, candidates, and managers to collect required information and documentation. Support internal communications and employee-engagement activities. Respond to routine HR inquiries and direct complex or confidential matters to the appropriate HR representative. Recruitment Support Post job opportunities and maintain candidate records. Review applications based on established position requirements. Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers. Communicate interview details and follow-up information to candidates. Update recruitment trackers and support candidate-status reporting. Assist with reference checks and pre-employment documentation when required. HR Operations Support Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding administration. Prepare employment letters, forms, reports, and other HR documents. Maintain personnel files, policy records, training records, and document repositories. Support benefits, leave, attendance, and employee-information updates. Assist with the administration of HR policies and procedures. Support HR compliance activities and documentation requirements. General Administrative Support Organize electronic files and maintain HR documentation according to established processes. Prepare meeting materials, take notes, and track assigned action items. Support special HR projects and process-improvement initiatives. Perform other reasonable administrative duties related to HR operations. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Law, or a related field is preferred. Previous administrative, customer-service, recruitment, or HR experience is an asset
