Job Description Working with a team of health professionals in an inter-professional collaborative model and under the supervision and/or delegation of a supervising physician (and in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's policy on delegation) the Physician Assistant will provide quality patient focused care to patients in the Emergency Department under medical directives or direct orders. Accountabilities: Conducting patient interviews and taking medical histories Performing physical examinations and interpret findings Organizing laboratory and diagnostic investigations Performing certain controlled acts under medical directives delegated to you by a physician Counselling patients on preventive health care Organizing patient follow-up Performing other duties within your competencies as a physician assistant Qualifications Graduate of the Physician Assistant Bachelors degree at McMaster University or the University of Toronto consortium Certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant Certified or eligible to be certified through the Physician Assistant's Certification Council Current Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Advanced Life Support are mandatory Experience working in an emergency department preferred Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with respect in both a verbal and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines Demonstrated competency to perform complete and appropriate clinical assessment and development of a treatment plan in accordance with medical directives Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work in a collaborative medical model of care with all members of the health care team Satisfactory employment and attendance record Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Service, Excellence, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration Additional Information Hours: Currently Days/Evenings, 8 and 12 hours shifts (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements) SALARY: Minimum: $52.36 per hour Maximum: $64.98 per hour Internal application deadline: March 25, 2026 #LI-HT1 #PT #SJ1 Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace. Exigences

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies and be certified or eligible for certification through the Physician Assistant's Certification Council. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NALS, with preference given to those with emergency department experience.
