Salary The salary range for this position is CAD $35.36/Hr. - CAD $50.83/Hr. Job Accuracy Posting Flag The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. **Testing may be required. ***A criminal record check may be required Summary The Registration Business Analyst supports and improves healthcare registration, identity management, and scheduling systems. The role focuses on analyzing business needs, improving data accuracy and reporting, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting users with system changes and enhancements. What You Bring Education Bachelor's degree in the area of Health Information Management/Technology, Science (Finance, Mathematics, etc.) or Business Administration, minimum of three (3) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Skills and Abilities Comprehensive knowledge of policy and standards for client identity management and client registration data collection. Working knowledge of information security and confidentiality guidelines and policies such as the Freedom of Information and Protection and Privacy Act. Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques, principles and practices. Understanding of systems analysis and design, related tools and techniques (e.g. data flow diagrams, etc.), and continuous quality improvement. Knowledge of hospital operations and health care administration requirements. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including strong business writing skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences. Ability to analyze operational problems and identify innovative solutions. Ability to work effectively with people from various disciplines with varying degrees of functional and technical experience. Demonstrated ability to manage effective relationships with vendors and external organizations. Effective interpersonal and facilitation skills including the ability to work effectively with diverse user community. Ability to coordinate and lead work groups. Ability to manage own work activities to achieve maximum efficiency. Ability to effectively utilize related hardware and software. Skilled in Microsoft Office for Business. Your Day to Day: Gathers business requirements and translates them into functional specifications and test plans. Acts as a link between operational teams and technical teams to support system development and improvements. Collaborates with registration, records, finance, and clinical teams across multiple sites to identify and resolve issues. Monitors and reports on registration data quality, trends, and performance indicators. Updates system requirements and processes to align with Ministry, provincial, and healthcare standards. Provides subject matter expertise on registration systems, policies, regulations, and process improvements. Develops audit tools and reports to improve the accuracy, quality, and security of patient information. Analyzes data and stakeholder feedback to identify gaps and recommend process improvements. Provides end-user support, troubleshoots registration and scheduling issues, and coordinates technical assistance when needed. Develops test plans, supports system testing and implementation, and evaluates system performance after changes are introduced.
