Teacher on call needs to do the following:-Follow prepared lesson plans and report on learning outcomes at the end of the day in the form of notes for the teacher.- Hold students' accountable in an engaging manner while you are covering the class- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to implement curriculum plans- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, daily performance and any concerns to alert the teacher of`Requirements`- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field or a Bachelor's degree- Valid teaching certification or license preferred- Experience working with high school students, preferably in a classroom setting- Knowledge and understanding of the subject area(s) being taught (e.g., Math, Special Education)- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and create a positive learning environment- Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needsNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Khalsa Secondary School is a faith based school.
