Part-Time Countertop Installer (Independent Contractor)

About Mid Island Granite Inc. Mid Island Granite Inc. is a fabricator and installer of premium quartz, granite, porcelain, and natural stone countertops on Vancouver Island. We are currently seeking an experienced Part-time/Independent Contractor to support our growing residential and commercial installation projects in the Greater Victoria area. Responsibilities Install quartz, granite, porcelain, and other stone finished countertops at residential/commercial job sites. Safely transport, unload, and install countertop materials. Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and customer expectations. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment. Communicate effectively with customers and project coordinators to ensure successful project completion. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of countertop installation experience. Experience working with quartz, granite, porcelain, and natural stone products. Must supply your own professional installation tools and equipment if independent contractor. Must own or have access to a truck, trailer, or other suitable vehicle capable of safely transporting stone countertops if independent contractor. Valid BC Driver's Licence with reliable transportation. Ability to safely lift and handle heavy stone materials. Strong workmanship, attention to detail, and a professional attitude. Insurance & Safety Requirements Active WorkSafeBC coverage is strongly preferred if independent contractor. Contractors without WorkSafeBC coverage must acknowledge that they are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining their own workplace insurance, liability coverage, and compliance with all applicable legal and safety requirements while performing contracted work. Proof of WorkSafeBC registration or equivalent insurance documentation may be required prior to commencing work. Compensation Competitive project-based compensation. Flexible part-time opportunities.
