The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time stipendiary appointment for the Fall 2026 or Winter 2027 term, to teach a 3000 or 4000-level elective Chemistry course. A one-page course outline should be provided, with prerequisites from Mount Allison’s course offerings in chemistry identified (https://selfservice.mta.ca/Student/Student/Courses/Search?subjects=CHEM). The successful candidate should have a completed PhD in Chemistry or related field. Doctoral students in final stages of their thesis are welcome to apply, and prior teaching experience is preferred. The anticipated enrollment in the course is approximately 30 students and involves 3-4 hours of scheduled office hours per week to assist students. The complete application should include a cover letter, CV with names and contact information of 3 references, and a 1-page statement of teaching philosophy as a single .pdf file.
