Working together to provide outstanding integrated health care to our communities delivering best patient outcomes with exemplary standards and compassion, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site and South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site. The Clinical Pharmacist Supervisor is responsible for the provision, development and day to day operations of the MAHC Pharmacy Department and services. This involves the clinical hands on delivery of service; departmental policy and procedure formulation; program planning, implementation, and evaluation; and the supervision of pharmacy technicians. ROLE The Clinical Pharmacist Supervisor Is Involved In The Provision, Development And Day To Day Operations Of The MAHC Pharmacy Department And Services. This Includes But Is Not Limited To Review medication orders for safety and appropriateness, and verify orders in an electronic computerized health information system Provide drug information and clinical pharmacy support (e.g. pharmacokinetic monitoring, etc.) Responsible for the oversight of drug distribution services in collaboration with other pharmacy staff (including IV medications, TPN, chemotherapy, narcotics etc.) Assisting in the investigation and reporting of medication related incidents Ensure provision of pharmacy services in compliance with accepted standards and relevant legislation (accreditation, Can. Soc. of Hosp Pharmacists, Food & Drug Act, Regulated Health Professions Act, Public Hosp. Act, NAPRA, USP 797, etc.) Effectively communicate with nursing, medical staff, pharmacy team members and management Act as immediate supervisor and resource person to pharmacy technicians, students, etc. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Graduate of a degree program in Pharmacy from a recognized University (B. Sc Pharm.) Current license from the Ontario College of Pharmacists required Three (3) years experience as a pharmacist required Experience working in a hospital pharmacy department is an asset Member in good standing of the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is an asset Experience with Microsoft Office, Cerner, ARIA, MOSAIQ considered an asset Additional Perks At Mahc Staff referral program $1000 (for each successful permanent part-time and permanent full-time new hire you refer to MAHC) Retention Bonus $7500 (permanent full-time/permanent part-time, eligible positions only) Extended health benefits (permanent full-time) Enrolment in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) Additional Information Location: Multi-Site, working on site at both the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) located in Bracebridge and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) located in Huntsville. Applicants must reside within 125km of one of our hospital campuses or be willing to relocate prior to starting. *Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis Hours of Work: Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements. Exigences

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a current license from the Ontario College of Pharmacists. A minimum of three years of experience as a pharmacist is required, with hospital experience and membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists being assets.
