LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN), OPERATING ROOM

We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, the Licensed Practical Nurse, Operating Room, provides practical nursing services in an operating room environment as a member of an integrated surgical team performing varied surgical interventions. Consults, confers, and collaborates with other members of the surgical team in facilitating safe and effective surgical interventions through the performance of scrubbing and circulating duties in accordance with established standards and protocols. This includes pre-operative, operative, and post-operative activities such as assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting client care, and providing support to clients and their families. Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Evenings, Nights, 15:00 to 23:18, 23:00 to 07:18 (rotating) There is an on call portion to this rotation University Hospital Of Northern BC (UHNBC) Is The Largest Acute Care Facility Within The Northern Health Region, And a Hub For Specialized Health Services. The LPN provides practical nursing services within an operating room as part of an integrated surgical team. Responsibilities include scrubbing and circulating duties, as well as assessing, planning, and documenting client care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.

Candidates must be a Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid registration number. Supporting documentation of education and qualifications, such as diplomas or transcripts, is required for the application.
