About Us North Bay Animal Hospital is a modern, well-equipped small animal practice supported by a dedicated team of three DVMs and seven skilled support staff. Our hospital is thoughtfully designed to support high-quality medicine and efficient workflows, with five spacious exam rooms, an in-house IDEXX laboratory, fully equipped surgical suites, dedicated dental stations, and advanced diagnostic capabilities. We offer a comprehensive range of services, including preventative and wellness care, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, advanced dentistry, rehabilitation and pain management, hospice and end-of-life care, as well as nutrition and chronic disease management. At the heart of our practice is a collaborative, respectful, and patient-focused team culture. The Opportunity As Managing Veterinarian, you will play a dual role—providing excellent clinical care while leading and supporting the medical team. You’ll work closely with hospital leadership and NVA Canada partners to guide medical direction, elevate standards of care, and help drive long-term success. This includes a total compensation range of $130,000–$170,000 based on experience (inclusive of leadership bonuses), signing and retention bonuses, health and dental benefits for both full-time and part-time employees, RRSP matching, paid vacation, and a continuing education allowance. Relocation assistance is available for out-of-area candidates, along with access to leadership development and mentorship opportunities.
