Position Summary The concessions food and beverage Hawker serves concession items to guests located in the stands. Due to the nature of this venue, the successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors. This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 CAD and is tip eligible. Regarded as one of the top show jumping venues on the planet, a stunning 500-acre property also hosts a wide range of events, including tournaments, concerts, festivals, and world-famous markets. Responsibilities Carries an assortment of food or beverage items for in-seat sales to guests. Ensure bins, carrying trays, and bags are clean and ready for use. Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines, including checking patrons’ identification. Processes cash transactions for food and beverage items served; accepts payments and makes change as appropriate. Upholds inventory integrity and adheres to cash handling policies and procedures. Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. Maintains a friendly, outgoing, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers. Is adaptable to customer needs. Adheres to safety policies and procedures, including established food safety and sanitation. Ensures security of company assets. Dedication to attendance of scheduled events, including the ability to arrive on time in uniform. Qualifications Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred. Experience as a roving vendor is a plus. Demonstrates excellent guest service skills. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Requires basic math and counting skills. Must be comfortable with exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures. Ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Has food handling certifications. ProServe certification. Ability to learn to operate a POS system. Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests. Strengthened by our Differences.
