Laundry Attendant - Casual - Villa Marguerite

CASUAL DAY SHIFT POSITION DEPARTMENT: Environmental Services LOCATION: Villa Marguerite Seniors Community SALARY RANGE: As per AUPE Collective Agreement Local 47 Chapter 38 Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible to ensure that standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of Resident satisfaction, within established time limitations. The Laundry Attendant will perform labelling, sorting, washing, drying and folding of clothing items and will maintain the laundry facility as required. The Laundry Attendant should demonstrate constant awareness of safety hazards and report to the Manager of Environmental Services for maintaining safety standards. Qualifications: Must be physically fit and in general good health with the ability to push, pull and lift a minimum of 25 lbs and be able to be on your feet for long periods of time Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language Must be able to work in confined spaces Clear criminal record clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old) Appropriately dressed Must be able to work independently, and as part of the interdisciplinary team Please note that only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for labeling, sorting, washing, drying, and folding clothing to maintain cleanliness standards for residents. They must also maintain the laundry facility and report safety hazards to the Manager of Environmental Services.

Candidates must be physically fit, capable of lifting 25 lbs, and able to work in confined spaces. A clear criminal record check including the Vulnerable Sector is required along with effective English communication skills.
