If you are looking for a pharmacy where you can build meaningful relationships, work with a great team, and make a real difference in the community, Balser’s Pharmacy may be the place for you \n Responsibilities • Accurately entering new prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system. • Preparing prescriptions for pharmacist verification, including selecting, counting, measuring, packaging, and labelling medications. • Performing regulated pharmacy technician functions within your scope of practice and in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures. • Processing Pharmacare and private insurance claims and resolving billing or adjudication issues. • Managing prescription transfers and other technical aspects of prescription processing. • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient profiles and prescription records. • Communicating with prescribers, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other pharmacies regarding technical and administrative matters. • Supporting pharmacists with prescription workflow and helping ensure prescriptions are processed efficiently. • Ordering, receiving, stocking, rotating, and returning medications and pharmacy supplies. • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dispensary. • Protecting patient confidentiality and ensuring patient information is handled appropriately. • Providing friendly, professional service to patients and helping create a positive pharmacy experience. • Answering phones and assisting patients with technical and administrative questions while referring clinical questions to the pharmacist. • Working collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and the broader pharmacy team. • Following all applicable legislation, regulatory standards, pharmacy policies, and procedures. • Contributing to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace. Requirements Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and patient safety. Be organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy pharmacy environment. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Work well independently while also being a strong team player. Take ownership of their responsibilities and follow through on commitments. Have a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed. Treat patients, coworkers, and healthcare professionals with respect and professionalism. Be comfortable using pharmacy computer systems and technology. Demonstrate sound judgment and know when to seek assistance from the pharmacist. Be committed to providing excellent customer service. Take pride in being part of a community pharmacy and building relationships with patients.
