We are looking to fill the Mountain Pantry Cashier & Barista position at Fernie Alpine Resort. This position is for evenings and part-time work. Every guest interaction is an opportunity to create a lasting memory. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge make guests feel unique and valued. The ideal candidate will have previous cash handling experience, legendary customer service skills, and be able to make a cup of coffee. You Will Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following proper HACCP procedures Process payment transactions using the point-of-sale system Balance the register and prepare cash outs Use proper rotation procedures (FIFO) Refresh and restock areas as necessary Sell alcoholic beverages Other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the RCR Employee Handbook Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program You Have Previous cash handling experience Serving it Right certification is required Barista certificate or equivalent an asset Strong organizational skills Excellent communication skills Physically capable Compensation And Benefits Competitive wage: $19.00/hour, dependent on experience Mountain access perks: Staff receive an RCR pass with full mountain access, plus reciprocal resort tickets and discounted friends & family tickets Staff discounts: Enjoy savings on food & beverage, rentals, retail items and hotel accommodation. This is a part-time winter seasonal position, 4 evenings per week, 4pm-9pm.
