Among our acute and continuing care services, our team cares for 45,000 patients per year in the 24/7/365 emergency department, provides orthopedics and ophthalmology, operates a dialysis unit, and is renowned for its mental health programs and restorative seniors care. The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care. Position Summary The Pharmacy Department is currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Pharmacist to join their team. Effective date: May 11, 2026 Reporting to the Manager of Pharmacy, pharmacists are responsible for providing pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary team. These duties include pharmacotherapy monitoring and direct patient care services, supporting pharmacy technicians and assistants in the provision of a safe and efficient drug distribution system, all departmental operations in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager and/or Director and other reasonable duties as assigned. Pharmacists conduct their duties in a safe manner and report any safety issues/problems; take corrective action, where possible; and attend safety meetings/training in accordance with the Hospital's standards. Essential Qualifications Must have a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited university Current licensure with the Ontario College of Pharmacists Part A, in good standing Current experience with Program Management/Direct Patient Care Pharmacy Services Demonstrated commitment to professional development (OCP Learning Portfolio) Effective interpersonal skills Demonstrates initiative and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated ability to work accurately with attention to detail Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands Act as a resource/preceptor for students and participate in the learning process Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis Preferred Qualifications Previous hospital pharmacy experience and/or hospital pharmacy residency Excellent computer skills; experience with Epic (Willow Module) Electronic Health Record Designation certification such as: geriatric pharmacist, antibiotic stewardship etc. Membership in a pharmacist professional organization (e.g. CSHP) Hours of Work Must be available to work Monday to Sunday. Rotation of 10 hour shifts plus on call. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.
