As a Dietary Aide, you help serve our Residents during meal times and special events. If you were working for us as a Dietary Aide, here are some of the things you would have done last week:Greeted Residents and answered questions in a courteous and professional mannerPerformed light food preparation as assigned and plated Resident meals based on their requested meal option Serve attractive, nutritious meals being mindful of special diets, textures, and needs of the ResidentsExperienced the joy of making a positive impact by serving nutritious, comforting meals to ResidentsParticipated in establishing and maintaining a home-like environment, including the dining experienceSet up and cleared the dining roomWashed dishes, cleaned and sanitized the kitchenette areaAnd supported your team as needed. We prioritize promoting from within and support our employees' educational needs because we care for the team we have put together. We come to our workplace each day understanding that we are entering our Residents' Home, and we are there to support them. While we don't take ourselves seriously, we take our jobs seriously and love to have fun with each other and the Residents!QualificationsWe are currently seeking candidates interested in CASUAL work. While this can include some pre-scheduled shifts, availability for same-day shift coverage is expected. To be hired into this role, you must have:Certification in the Food Safety Awareness Course with recertification every 5 years Food Service Worker Certificate is an asset Minimum 2 years working in the food service industryPrevious employment experience in a healthcare setting and/or LTC, including the knowledge of the different food textures and special diets is recommendedVulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 monthsTB 2 Step updated within the last yearOnly qualified candidates selected for interview will be contacted.Additional InformationWhile our Applicant Tracking System uses some AI-enhanced tools, every decision throughout screening, assessing, and selecting candidates is made by real people on our team.
