The Village at University Gates has an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Aide to join their team. • Location: 250 Laurelwood Drive, Waterloo, ON, N2J 0E2 • Position Type: unscheduled part time with evening availability • Expected Start Date: August 2026 The hiring rate for this role is $__18.57_per collective agreement/employee association agreement. (20-50 lb. usual). * Possess exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team. * Assist in serving meals and beverages to our residents ensuring we meet residents’ diets and food preferences while following safe and sanitary food handling techniques. * Support with the preparation of catering functions and events, and maintaining a clean dining room and workspace. * Be able to stand or walk for the majority of your shift (8-hours maximum). * Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents. * Have a valid Smart Serve Certification. * Hold a valid Food handlers certification. It would be an asset if our new Food Service Aide has: * Completed, enrolled in or willing to enroll in the Food Services Worker training program * Hold a valid Food Safety Awareness certification or equivalent.
