We provide a meaningful environment to associates enabling them to thrive both professionally and personally with industry-leading benefits, discounted stays at Marriott properties worldwide, extended medical and dental benefits as well as career development and training opportunities. *What you'll do:* You?re a perfect fit for the role of Laundry Attendant if you welcome the challenge of being part of a team that works hard to create the cleanest experience for our customers. *The responsibilities of this position include:* * Sorting, washing and cleaning employee uniforms and launder hotel linens. * Using the industrial iron and folding linens/towels. * Operating equipment necessary to sort, wash, dry, iron and fold employee uniforms and hotel linen. * Washing, ironing and folding Food & Beverage flat work. * Restocking linen shelves. * Maintaining an acceptable state of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area. * Performing general tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards. * Inspect linens for stains, damage and quality; report issues as required. * Handle laundry chemicals and cleaning products according to safety guidelines. * Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns promptly. * Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and assist with other duties assigned. * Restocking linen shelves. * All other job duties as assigned. *What you'll offer us:* We are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual who wants to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and fosters a culture of respect and positivity. * Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace to facilitate the communication process. * Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length. * Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. * Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. * Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. * Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. * Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. * High school or equivalent education preferred. * Prior laundry or housekeeping experience in a hotel is an asset. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. * Must be available for flexible schedule and to work Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and 1 week day. _The Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
