As our studio family grows, so does our team! *About the Role:* We're seeking passionate and energetic Dance Instructor to join our team and share the joy of dance with students of all ages (4-18). In this role, you'll design and deliver engaging lesson plans, choreograph exciting routines, and create a dynamic learning environment where students can develop their technique, creativity, and confidence. If you have a love for dance, experience working with children and teens, and a passion for teaching and choreography, we encourage you to apply! *Responsibilities:* * *Instruction:* \* Teach a variety of dance styles to students ages 4-18 (Acrobatics, Tap, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz). * Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with our curriculum and cater to different age groups and skill levels. * *Choreography & Music Editing:* \* Create innovative and age-appropriate choreography for class routines and performances. * Select and edit music for dance routines. * *Classroom Management:* \* Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel safe, supported, and inspired. * *Communication:* \* Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any studio updates. * *Teamwork:* \* Collaborate with other instructors and studio staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. * *Professionalism:* \* Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to studio policies and procedures. *Must Haves* * Dance experience and expertise in one or more of the following styles: Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Preschool Dance * Excellent communication skills. * Ability to be professional while also friendly, upbeat and welcoming. * Love working with and around children of all ages. * Love building connections within a community. * Exceptional problem-solving skills and an ?everything has a solution? attitude. * Creativity * Ability to remain calm when stressed * Initiative * Exceptional teamwork skills * Integrity, Honesty & Respect * Tenacity/Resilience * Interpersonal Skills * The ability to adhere to deadlines * Complete a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check * *Bonus Points:* * Formal dance training or certification. * Experience with performance and competition. *Position Start: September* *To Apply:* Please submit your resume and cover letter to [email protected] with the subject line "Dance Instructor Application" Job Types: Part-time, Casual Pay: $16.75-$28.00 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * On-site parking Education: * Secondary School (preferred) Experience: * Dance teaching: 1 year (preferred) * dance: 2 years (preferred) Language: * English (preferred) Work Location: In person
