CASUAL POSITION IN NORTH VANCOUVER CLOSES: Open Until Filled BE PART OF SOMETHING MEANINGFUL As part of the Squamish Nation’s Yúustway Health and Wellness Team, you will support Nation Members through compassionate, culturally safe, and community‑rooted care. In this role, you’ll ensure clients receive timely, coordinated home support services while embodying the values of snew̓íyelh (teachings), wenáxws (respect), and Úxwumixw (community/peoples). Your work will help restore balance, uphold dignity, and strengthen wraparound care for members navigating health challenges. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Serve as the central point of communication for clients, managing scheduling and liaising with the nursing team as needed. * Provide warm, trauma‑informed support by anticipating needs, comforting clients, and helping them navigate care. * Coordinate and oversee scheduling for Home Support teams, ensuring urgent needs are prioritized. * Assist clients with transportation, medical appointments, and escorts. * Maintain accurate client records, contact information, and service requirements. * Collaborate with third‑party contracted services when additional staffing is needed. * Maintain monthly scheduling capacity reports and advise teams on service availability. * Provide insight and recommendations on scheduling systems, EMR tools (AlayaCare), and workflow enhancements. * Assist with project planning and implementation for Home & Community Care initiatives. * Prepare documents, reports, requisitions, and correspondence based on program needs. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Diploma/Certificate in Business Administration, Medical Office Assistance, Project Management, or related field. * Indigenous Cultural Safety training (recent or willingness to complete). * 2–3 years in administrative, scheduling, care coordination, or related experience. * Experience supporting health programs, working with EMRs, and using MS Office. * Experience working in First Nations contexts is an asset. * Comfort supporting clients with compassion and cultural humility. * Strong communication, organization, and time management skills. * Ability to work calmly in high‑pressure situations. * Data management and reporting skills, including Excel. * Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and cultural safety. * Valid BC Driver’s License (Class 4 or 5 preferred) and reliable vehicle. * Ability to work evenings/weekends when required. * Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and provide vaccination history. * Knowledge and understanding of Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw history, culture, customs, land, and People is preferred.
