Position Details Job Number: JR01787 Department: Surgery Centre Ophthalmology Operating Rooms This position may be scheduled at any of the following sites: King Campus (Stoney Creek East Hamilton) Job Type: Regular, Part time Contract Duration: (If applicable) 0 months Number of Positions: 1 Union: ONA Local 75 Hourly Rate (Min / Max): $41.15 - $58.98 Schedule Work Days: Monday to Friday Time of Day: Days Shift: Hours - 7.5 Shift Start: (If applicable) Reason for Posting: Posting is for a role with an existing vacancy Application Dates Opening Date: 2026-08-20 Closing Date: 2026-08-27 Job Description Qualifications • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required • Operating Room Nursing Certificate required • Minimum of 1-year current O.R. experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience • Laser certification required • Canadian Perioperative Nursing Certification an asset • Current BCLS/HCP certification required • Demonstrated knowledge sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families • Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred • Familiarity with HSM OR and/or basic computer competencies • Demonstrates ability to function effectively within a multi-disciplinary team • Demonstrates ability to function in emergency and highly stressful situations • Good attendance and work record is essential • A resume regarding further education special courses and experience should accompany the application St. Joseph’s Health System (SJHS) and its member organizations are equal opportunity employers and strives for equity, inclusiveness, and diversity in all programs, practices, facilities, and people. Exigences

Candidates must hold current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess an Operating Room Nursing Certificate. A minimum of one year of current operating room experience and valid BCLS/HCP certification are required.
