We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Casual - LPN to join our resident care team based out of our Long-Term Care Centre at 7404 - 139 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Hours of work can be: Days: 7am - 3:15pm or 7am - 1:30pm Evenings: 3pm - 11:15pm or 3pm - 10:30pm Opportunity The Licensed Practical Nurse performs: * basic nursing procedures and provides treatments within the scope of Licensed Practical Nurse training and in accordance with established Resident Care programs, policies and procedures * provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care * administers medications in accordance with established procedures, legislative standards and as directed by the Case Manager/Staff Nurse Designated in Charge Skills * excellent interpersonal skills with restricted and/or elderly Residents * excellent verbal and written communication skills * resident-focused team member * caring and a professional role model to other staff at all times * strong leadership skills Qualifications * a certificate from a recognized Practical Nurse Program * a valid license with the C.L.H.A. * a valid CPR Health Care Provider certification * at least one year of recent nursing experience is required * experience in a long term care facility is preferred At St. Michael’s, we are committed to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and seek qualified candidates who enrich our community with a variety of ideas, perspectives, and experiences.
