We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Casual - LPN to join our resident care team based out of our Long-Term Care Centre at 7404 - 139 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Hours of work can be: Days: 7am - 3:15pm or 7am - 1:30pm Evenings: 3pm - 11:15pm or 3pm - 10:30pm Opportunity The Licensed Practical Nurse performs: * basic nursing procedures and provides treatments within the scope of Licensed Practical Nurse training and in accordance with established Resident Care programs, policies and procedures * provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care * administers medications in accordance with established procedures, legislative standards and as directed by the Case Manager/Staff Nurse Designated in Charge Skills * excellent interpersonal skills with restricted and/or elderly Residents * excellent verbal and written communication skills * resident-focused team member * caring and a professional role model to other staff at all times * strong leadership skills Qualifications * a certificate from a recognized Practical Nurse Program * a valid license with the C.L.H.A. * a valid CPR Health Care Provider certification * at least one year of recent nursing experience is required * experience in a long term care facility is preferred At St. Michael’s, we are committed to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and seek qualified candidates who enrich our community with a variety of ideas, perspectives, and experiences. The LPN performs basic nursing procedures and treatments according to established resident care programs and policies. They are also responsible for administering medications and providing ancillary support for quality resident care.

Candidates must have a certificate from a recognized Practical Nurse Program, a valid C.L.H.A. license, and CPR Health Care Provider certification. At least one year of recent nursing experience is required, with long-term care experience preferred.
