Answers questions and provides information to patients on compound ingredients,</p><p>dosage, storage medication(s), use of medication(s), pertinent interaction(s) and other</p><p>information relating to the compounded medication(s)</p><p>? Re-constitutes IV preparations and appropriately labels containers</p><p>? Establishes and maintains compounding records and enters prescription data</p><p>accurately</p><p>? Assists the clinic team in providing patient care</p><p>? Assists in maintaining inventory of the IV area, including, but not limited to: labels,</p><p>medication, compounding ingredients, vials, etc.</p><p>? Cleans and helps maintain equipment and work areas according to SOPs</p><p>? Maintains proper storage and security conditions of vitamins, ingredients and finished</p><p>compounds</p><p>? Follows established SOPs, assists with formulation development of new SOPs and</p><p>data entry, and competence in mathematical calculations</p><p>? Effectively communicates with prescribers and other healthcare professionals,</p><p>conveying appropriate information to designated staff for proper compounding of IV</p><p>vitamins and IM Quickshots</p><p>? Attends professional meetings and interacts professionally with patients, staff and</p><p>external associates as needed</p><p>? Delegates tasks to other staff members according to individual <span class="long-word">strengths/weaknesses.</span></p><p>? Oversees SOP implementation, training verification, formulation of medications, CQI,</p><p>quality of ingredients, staffing requirements, patient-specific needs, and any other</p><p>aspect of work in the IV area</p><p>? Evaluate, plan, implement and document nursing care for clients</p><p>? Prepare IV & IM vitamins for administration with appropriate technique</p><p>? Inserting, monitoring and removing IV - ensuring needles and tubing stay in place</p><p>during treatment, and procedure is done as easily and comfortably as possible.</p><p>Oversight of the client during the infusion process</p><p>? Reviewing treatment plans and ensuring the clients are up to date with labs and f/u</p><p>appointments</p><p>? Clean and maintain infusion room & sterile hood</p><p>? Various Office and Customer Service duties to include but not limited to scheduling</p><p>appointments, verifying the correct forms are filled out and complete, reviewing health</p><p>history forms, and providing excellent customer service</p><p>? Performs venipuncture. Possible accesses implanted ports or PICC lines</p><p>? Orders and maintains adequate IV supplies</p><p>? Triage patient phone calls as needed and documents relevant information in the</p><p>client's chart</p><p>? Follows daily, weekly, and monthly requirements for Lab and staff</p><p>? Additional tasks as needed</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Qualifications</strong></b></p><p>&bull; Continuous speaking, hearing and visual effort.</p><p>&bull; Frequently required to walk, stand and sit. Use hands to use/hold various</p><p>compounding equipment and machinery. Reach with hands and arms. Occasionally</p><p>required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to manipulate equipment or storage of</p><p>supplies.</p><p>&bull; Occasional lifting of equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and carrying</p><p>objects of varying weights.</p><p>&bull; Position requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.</p><p>&bull; Position requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling</p><p>anger, and avoiding aggressive behaviour (even in very difficult situations).</p><p>&bull; Position requires being open to change (positive and negative) and to considerable</p><p>variety in the workplace.</p><p>&bull; Position requires managing one pharmacy technician and verifying compounds and</p><p>processes performed by clinic staff.</p><p>&bull; Possible travel for trai
