This course is designed for those students who have a specific or general interest in pursuing an entrepreneurial opportunity, shaping it into a new venture plan, and potentially launching it as a viable business in the future. The course consists of lectures, guest speakers, case studies, projects, and a business pitch presentation. The course is particularly aimed at students who aspire to launch their own start up business, those who would like to test entrepreneurship as a career option, or those who merely wish to familiarize themselves with the concepts, issues, and techniques of new venture creation and entrepreneurship.The minimum requirement for consideration is a Master's degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the topic area. Previous experience teaching at the graduate level in a university environment is considered an asset. Please attach an updated resume to your application letter and include teaching evaluation scores if available.Please take note of the following: Please apply to each CAE posting in a separate email. The subject line should contain course number, title, section and the term you wish to teach (i.e. MBA 7303 Marketing Management SJ1M1, Fall 2026). For each application, please attach a cover letter, updated resume, and teaching evaluation scores if available. The CAE Contract binds the Contract Academic Instructor to take the course from start to conclusion including invigilation and marking of the final exam. Applicants who are graduate students please submit the Part-time Employment Form with sections 1 and 2 completed with your application package. Course offerings are subject to budgetary approval and may be subject to minimum enrolment. Partial applications make the work of the Committee difficult and slow down the selection process. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Full-time hiring is in process and this course could become part of a regular teaching load.
