This course is designed for those students who have a specific or general interest in pursuing an entrepreneurial opportunity, shaping it into a new venture plan, and potentially launching it as a viable business in the future. The course consists of lectures, guest speakers, case studies, projects, and a business pitch presentation. The course is particularly aimed at students who aspire to launch their own start up business, those who would like to test entrepreneurship as a career option, or those who merely wish to familiarize themselves with the concepts, issues, and techniques of new venture creation and entrepreneurship.The minimum requirement for consideration is a Master's degree or equivalent in a field relevant to the topic area. Previous experience teaching at the graduate level in a university environment is considered an asset. The CAE Contract binds the Contract Academic Instructor to take the course from start to conclusion including invigilation and marking of the final exam. Course offerings are subject to budgetary approval and may be subject to minimum enrolment.
