Job Description: Job Type: Part-Time - Permanent Work Location: Barrie- 474 Welham Rd Workdays: Monday to Friday-5:00PM to 9:00 PM Shift Duration: 3-5 hours per day *(Flexibility is required with both the start and finish times). All Applicants must work a minimum 25 hrs/ week Responsibilities and Duties: Load and unload packages into package delivery vehicles and trailers Learn and properly execute company-established package handling methods Sort and stock packages based on postal codes Qualifications: Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) Full availability to work Monday to Saturday Ability to read and memorize postal codes Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles Warehouse experience (would be considered an asset) Compensation and Benefits: $18.50/hr. / automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement. Unionized position with automatic progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement (top rate of $36.53/hr. after 48 months of service Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility, program approval, and satisfactory academic performance) Paid training Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit- Every Friday Personal paid days off (Eligibility Requirements) 2 weeks of paid vacation after 1 year of service (3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, and 6 weeks after 25 years) Extended Health Care Benefits (Vision, health, life insurance, and dental benefits after one year of service) Immediate access to UPS ‘Employee Discounts’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Referral Bonus Program (conditions apply) Free Onsite Parking Opportunity for advancement within a Fortune 50 Company EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS: Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month) A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS) Employee Type: Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Exigences

Candidates must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment. Full availability from Monday to Saturday is required.
