About the Role Our ideal Vet Assistant will counsel and educate clients, under the direction of a Veterinarian or a RVT, on various aspects of animal care such as dosage/purpose of medications, home care, vaccination requirements, and preventative healthcare recommendations. In collaboration with the team, they will suggest and explain laboratory procedures and testing. They will also greet, handle, and treat animals in a way that contributes to an environment in which animals feel safe and secure. Weekend coverage is needed for this position. Why Join VetCare? The Veterinary Assistant counsels clients on animal care, medications, and preventative health under professional supervision. They are also responsible for greeting, handling, and treating animals to ensure a safe and secure environment.

The candidate should be able to collaborate with RVTs and veterinarians to explain laboratory procedures and provide patient care. Weekend availability is required for this position.
