Youth Volunteer - Birthday Parties

Birthday Party Volunteers assist staff by enthusiastically welcoming party goers into the facility and provide general support to birthday children and parents. Responsibilities: * Assist with set up, take down, and cleaning of party rooms, including wiping surfaces, sweeping floors, and stacking chairs * Welcome guests into the facility and guide them to designated areas * Assist with individual parties as needed (escort guests, help decorate, play games with participants, etc.) * Assist staff in setting up activities in the gym or other facility areas * Assist with general maintenance of the facility and equipment * Ensure the safety of facility patrons and party attendees, and know how to assist in emergency procedures * Actively participate in program activities and interact positively with children * Check messages and communicate regularly with supervisors * Log hours on the appropriate time sheet * Be reliable and punctual (arrive ready for shift in proper uniform) Qualities * Willing to learn new processes and follow procedures * Enthusiastic, helpful, welcoming, and comfortable interacting with children and adults WORK TERM: * September – June. * Saturdays and Sundays * 1-2 shifts/week. Shifts are 3-5 hours long. QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS REQUIRED: * Between 13 and 17 years of age. * Completion of minimum of Emergency First Aid with CPR C or Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion. * Completion of Volunteer Training – Provided by Westside.

Volunteers assist staff by welcoming guests, setting up and cleaning party rooms, and facilitating games for children. They also ensure the safety of patrons and maintain facility equipment during shifts.

Candidates must be between 13 and 17 years of age and hold a valid Emergency First Aid with CPR C or Lifesaving Society Bronze Medallion certification. Applicants are expected to be enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to follow facility procedures.
